STONE COUNTER AND SINK DISCLAIMER
With the natural beauty of quarried stone comes natural variation, and marble and granite are no exception. Each slab is formed over millions of years, resulting in unique patterns, veining, and color movement that cannot be replicated by man-made materials. Marble, in particular, requires a bit of extra care, as it is more porous and softer than engineered stone surfaces. Because of this, marble may be more susceptible to staining, etching, or scratching when exposed to acidic substances or abrasive materials. Granite is a harder and more durable surface by comparison, though it too can stain or scratch if not properly maintained.
Natural fissures (small cracks), geological anomalies, voids, and uneven veining are common characteristics of marble and may vary not only from slab to slab, but even across a single piece. These features are not defects; rather, they are inherent qualities of genuine natural stone and are often prized for the depth, character, and individuality they bring to a space. Variations in coloration, color density, and contrast are also to be expected and contribute to the one-of-a-kind appearance of each countertop.
As with all natural stone surfaces, proper care and maintenance are essential to preserving their beauty over time. It is recommended that marble and granite countertops be sealed every six months to help protect against moisture absorption and staining, ensuring long-lasting performance while maintaining the distinctive elegance that only natural stone can provide.
